  Indications

Continuous passive motion therapy is effective in the treatment of many clinical indications for ankle dysfunction including:

  • Joint distortion and contusion
  • Prolonged joint immobilization
  • Synovectomies
  • Burns
  • Joint arthroplasty
  • Passive mobilization of the following fractures repaired through open reduction
  • and internal fixation (ORIF).
  • Malleolar fractures
  • Distal tibia fractures
  • Talus fractures
  • Calcaneal fractures
  • Passive mobilization of the ankle after conservative treatment of lesions
  • Surgical lengthening of the Achilles tendon due to post-trauma stiffness
Cleaning Instructions Step 1
Switch off CPM unit and remove power cord
Step 2
Spray a disinfectant product onto the surfaces (plastic support, plastic covers,
metal parts)
Step 3
Hygienic pads are machine washable with chlorine bleach
Step 4
For optimal hygiene, a new set of pads should be used for each patient
  Contraindications / Precautions
  • Not to be used in the presence of untreated or uncontrolled infection, unstable fractures or spastic paralysis
